he Ag. Director General Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Mr D.I Arabi presented the report of the Rapid Institutional Assessment studies recently carried out by the Bureau on the National Human Rights Commission to the Executive Secretary of the Commission Mr Tony Ojukwu.

The Executive Secretary, National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Professor Usman Yusuf has said that National Health Insurance Scheme is a system designed to provide accessible, affordable and qualitative healthcare for every Nigerian.

The Permanent Secretary (GSO) Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Mr. Olusegun Adekunle emphasized that it is through effective implementation of key reforms in the various critical sectors in the Public Service that the Country’s persistent low rankings on international development indices such as the World Bank Ease of Doing Business Report and the UNDP World Human Development Index among others can be reversed. He said this at the stakeholders’ Technical meeting on Pillar I of the NSPSR held recently at the OSGF Abuja where he declared the occasion opened on behalf of the SGF, Mr. Boss Mustapha.

The Bureau of Public Service Reforms recently in Abuja played host to a delegation from the Public Procurement Authority of The Gambia who were on study tour of Nigeria to learn some lessons and to have an overview of how Public Service progresses in Nigeria, especially on the on-going reforms in the Nigeria Public Sector.

The Senior Special Adviser to the President on Industries and Secretary to the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), Dr. Olajumoke Odukola has said that Nigeria is ranked among top 10 reforming countries in the world.
