The Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) Dr Joe Abah has said that Corruption erodes the moral fabric of society and has a long-term negative impact on future generations.

He made this remarks at the inuaguration of Anticorruption and Transparency Monitoring Unit (ACTU) of the Bureau.

The inuaguration took place at the BPSR Conference Room, Federal Secretariat Complex Abuja on Monday, March 31st 2014. Speaking further, Dr. Joe Abah stressed that corruption lies in the heart of the underperformance of public sector organisations in many developing countries.

“Indeed corruption thrives due to the unwillingness or inability of public sector organisations to fulfill the proper functions for which they were designed”.
