The African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD), in recognition of the federal government reforms in the civil service has awarded the 2016 Pan-African Public Service Award to Nigeria.

The federal government has launched a comprehensive new housing scheme to build 5000 housing units in all the states of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory for civil servants within the next three years.

The Director-General, Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Dr. Joe Abah, has urged the federal government to strengthen the civil service if donor intervention is to deliver the desired change promised Nigerians by the current administration.
