The Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms Dr. Joe Abah has unveiled the current key reforms in the Civil Service. Dr. Abah unveiled the current reforms at a lecture he delivered at the Institute for Security Studies in Abuja recently to participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course on “Public Service Reforms and Institutions Building”.

The Director-General, Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Dr. Joe Abah has advised the Directorate for International Development-Learning, Evidencing And Advocacy Pillars (DFID-LEAP) to be wary of the mistakes made by DFID-FEPAR (Federal Public Administration on Reforms) its predecessor by not recognizing  BPSR which by Federal Government directive is the official clearing house of all interventions on reforms.

The Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Dr. Joe Abah has said that the simple definition of reforms is changing something to a better state and that the purpose of ALL Public Service Reforms must be to bring about tangible improvements in the life of citizens. Dr. Abah made these remarks on 8th of June, 2016 during a lecture he delivered to participants of the Executive Intelligence Management Course at the Institute for Security Studies in Abuja titled “Public Service Reforms and Institution Building.”

The Director- General Bureau of Public Service Reform (BPSR), Dr. Joe Abah has called for the sustainability of the Community of Practice (CoP) to enable continuous learning on how to manage and coordinate reforms for improved service delivery.

The Director General of Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Dr Joe Abah, has urged Directors of Reform Coordination and Service Improvements in Ministries to become agents of change in the ongoing reforms of the public service in line with the change ‘mantra’ of the current Administration.
