HOS INAUGURATES PENSION COMPLAINT RESOLUTION COMMITTEE
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Alhaji Bukar Goni Aji has set up a 25-member Pension Complaints Resolution Committee with a 3-month mandate to examine and resolve the over 10,000 complaints on pension payments and related issues in his office.
At the inauguration of the Committee in Abuja today, the Head of Service said that there is no gain saying the fact that Pension Administration in Nigeria has been tumultuous and problematic. Reform measures introduced especially since the advent of Civilian Administration in 1999 has thrown up new challenges as recent events have shown.

OHCSF COMMENCES IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW 3-OFFICE MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE
The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has commenced the implementation of the new 3-office management structure approved by President Goodluck Jonathan in January, 2013.
The former structure which had six Offices – Common Services, Manpower Development, Career Management, Management Services, Establishment and Records and the Bureau of Public Service Reforms has now been reduced to the following Offices-Common Services, Career Management and Service Polices and Strategies.

NATIONAL COUNCIL ON ESTABLISHMENTS WADES INTO ISSUE OF APPOINTMENT OF NON-CAREER PERSONS AS PERMSECS IN SOME STATES
The National Council on Establishments, at its 37th meeting held at Awka, Anambra State, deliberated on the issue of the appointment of non-career persons as Permanent Secretaries in some States Public Service and resolved that the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation should hold discussion with the Government in any State where this have occurred.

HOS RECEIVES WORLD BANK PROJECT REPORT ON PROFESSIONALIZATION OF HRM IN THE FEDERAL CIVILSERVICE
Efforts being made toward the professionalization of the human resource management system of the Federal Civil Service were further boosted today with the presentation of a final report on the issue to the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Alhaji Isa Bello Sali by the team of consultants working under the World Bank Economic Reforms and Governance Project.
