The Bureau of Public Service Reforms, one of the Agencies under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) made a presentation on its activities to President Muhammadu Buhari on 27th August 2015 at the State House, Abuja.
During the presentation, the Director General of the Bureau, Dr. Joe Abah traced the history of the Bureau and set out its mandates which are implementation, coordination, harmonization and communication of the Public Service Reforms. He provided Mr. President with an update of reform activities till date, stressing that the primary purpose of all public service reforms must be tangible improvements in public services experienced by citizens.
D. Abah gave highlights of the contents of the Compendium of Reforms 1999-2014, National Strategy on Public Service Reforms, and its new publication on How to Manage AND Reform Agencies and Parastatals. The Director General also briefed the President on the Bureau’s special interventions in NDDC and NEPAD.
