Who We Are

Our Background

The Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) is a body established on 4th February, 2004 by the Federal Government to initiate, coordinate and ensure full implementation of public service reforms in Nigeria. The Bureau’s Vision is to drive change that will position Nigeria’s Public Service as an institution of excellence and the Mission is to facilitate the building of Nigeria’s Public Service into a highly functional, professional, customer-focused and result-oriented institution.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a dynamic and efficient public service that is responsive to the needs of citizens. It aims to be a leader in promoting innovative reform initiatives that enhance transparency, accountability, and service delivery across all levels of government.

Our Mission

Our mission is to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency of public service delivery in Nigeria. This is achieved through the initiation and implementation of innovative reforms, coordination among government agencies.

Our Mandate

Our mandate is to initiate, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of reform programs and policies, conducting research on these efforts, and presenting best practice models for ministries, parastatals, and government agencies.
