TRAINING GALORE AT BPSR

As a way of enhancing capacity building, the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) has organized various training workshops for its staff ranging from Grade Levels 04 – 17.

While declaring open the training programme in Abuja, recently, the Ag. Director General, Mr. D. I. Arabi enjoined the staff to make maximum use of the opportunity given them to improve themselves, adding that on their return, they should put to use all they have learnt in the discharge of their duties.

According to him, faced with the issue paucity of funds, the Bureau still considers it necessary to train staff as a way of horning their skills and boosting their morale which in turn will improve their productivity.

Speaking on behalf of the participants, Ms. Felicia Otti assured the Bureau’s Management that the staff will put the knowledge acquired to good use.

Also speaking, the CEO of Digital Age Consultant Limited, Dr. Bimbola Ekunnusi disclosed that the topics have been carefully chosen to meet the training needs of the categories of Staff and that the workshop will be interactive as the essence is to refresh what the staff already knows.

Furthermore, he informed that the workshop which is in three categories will train staff on Grade Levels 04 – 09 on “Memo, Report and Minutes Writing”, those on Grade Levels 10 – 14 will be trained on “Personal Effectiveness in the Work Place while those on Grade Levels 15 – 17 will be trained on “Effective Problem Solving and Decision Making”. The Accounting and Audit staff were trained on ‘’Public Sector Accounting and Financial Reporting using International Public Sector Accounting Standard (IPSAS).
