FEPAR HOLDS END-OF-PROGRAMME DISSEMINATION EVENT

Federal Public Administration Reform Programme Nigeria (FEPAR) has held an end-of programme event for its stakeholders to mark the closure of its 5 year’s activities (May 2011-2016) in Nigeria. The event which held on Tuesday 26th April 2016 at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja drew participants from Offices of the Vice President of Nigeria,, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Head of Service of the Federation, Ministry of Budget and National Planning, Federal Ministry of Finance, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Bureau of Public Service Reforms and other key government Agencies where activities of FEPAR have been recorded.

In her opening address, FEPAR’s Component Manager, Civil Service Reform, Dr. Mrs Christiana Famro said that FEPAR’s goal was to refocus FGN on results and accountability through key Agencies of government including OVP, OSGF, OHSCF, FMF, MNBP, FMARD, OAGF, NSIWC, NDE, BPSR and NASS. She added that the last five years has been mutually benefiting experience of learning, discovery and adaptation on Public Administration Reform for both FEPAR and partners.
It should be recalled that during the period FEPAR supported the Federal Government to strengthen its processes and systems of governance in policy development, planning, budgeting and public financial management, monitoring and evaluation systems, human resource management (civil service reforms), Service delivery improvements and external accountability.
 FEPAR partners delivered goodwill messages including the Director General of BPSR, Dr. Joe Abah for FEPAR’s support in areas of technical assistance, capacity building, communication strengthening and conduct of studies.
