NEW PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PRESENTED TO PERMANENT SECRETARIES

The Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Dr.Joe Abah has presented the new Performance Management System (PMS) that will replace the old Annual Performance Evaluation Report (APER) currently being used in the Public Service. The new PMS is based on the Balanced Scorecard System and covers both organizational and individual performance.

Permanent Secretaries agreed to study the Policy, Framework and Tools at their next meeting after which the new PMS will be presented to the Federal Executive Council.
The new PMS was developed by the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, Ministry of Budget and Planning and Federal Civil Service Commission with technical support from the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR).
